Amy Gehm genuinely cares about her clients and provides exceptional guidance and support during what is often an emotionally-charged time in their lives. She has devoted her practice exclusively to family law matters since 1998, has handled thousands of divorce and family law cases, and became board certified in family law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in 2002. A skilled and seasoned advocate in the courtroom, Ms. Gehm also is committed to collaborative law and is a charter member of The Collaborative Law Institute of Texas.
Ms. Gehm graduated from South Texas College of Law, cum laude in 1992. She attended the University of Texas and graduated with a BBA in Finance. She has found that having a background in finance is beneficial in property issues, business valuations, tracing cases, and high net worth estates. After graduation, she was employed by the office of the Attorney General, the Texas Department of Insurance, and spent six years with the Law Office of Jennifer Tull before establishing her own practice in 2005.
A mother of two sons, Amy draws upon both her professional and personal experience to guide families through difficult and challenging times. Being a parent, Amy understands personally the rewards of raising children and can assist clients in the custody decisions that occur in a divorce and minimize the impact on the family.
